Renewable energy ::

There are several good reasons to start using renewable energy today. These are the most important ones:

:: Burning fossil fuels is hurting your environment.
Truly renewable energy is CO2 free meaning that no greenhouse gasses are released into the atmosphere during power generation. CO2 is by far the most important greenhouse gas causing global warming and subsequent effects such as the rising of sea levels. The reduction of CO2 emissions is urgent and switching to renewable energy is an easy yet extremely effective contribution.

:: Fossil fuels are increasingly expensive.
Oil and gas prices will rise sharply over the coming years. Electricity and heat generated in power plants running on oil, gas or coal, will then also become more expensive. Switching to renewable energy will lower demand for fossil fuels decreasing scarcity and tension in the market, making energy bills more stable.

:: Fossil fuels are running low.
Although experts differ strongly about the worlds oil and gas reserves, they do agree on one thing: supplies are limited. Whether there is another twenty or forty years left, we should all be very cautious about spending the reserves. Renewable energy is a clean and readily available alternative leaving a little more precious oil to be used for other vital purposes.
